Terms of service

Last updated: 21 May 2026

These terms govern your use of Brefi, a daily UK public-sector tender brief operated by Haijahr Limited (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or paying for a subscription you agree to them. Read carefully — particularly the sections on subscription, refunds and limitation of liability.

§ I   The service

Brefi monitors UK and EU public-sector tender feeds — Contracts Finder, Find a Tender, Public Contracts Scotland and TED — and delivers a scored daily brief based on filter rules you configure. We use commercially reasonable efforts to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Source data is provided by the relevant public-sector authorities; we do not warrant its completeness or accuracy.

§ II   Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for activity carried out under your account. You must not create multiple free trials, share account access with people outside your organisation, or use the service to scrape or resell tender data.

§ III   Trial and subscription

  • New accounts include a 7-day free trial. A card must be provided on file but is not charged during the trial.
  • At the end of the trial you are charged £50 (GBP, ex-VAT) per month, billed monthly in advance.
  • You can cancel at any time from Billing in your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep access until then. We do not pro-rate refunds for partial months.
  • Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers keep their current price until they cancel and re-subscribe at the new rate.

§ IV   Refunds

We don't issue refunds for partially-used months. If the service fails materially (e.g. the worker is down for over 48 hours and the brief stops arriving), email support@brefi.co.uk and we'll usually credit the next month at our discretion.

§ V   Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse-engineer or copy the Brefi service or its scoring engine.
  • Use Brefi to resell tender data as a competing service.
  • Share your daily brief publicly or with people outside your organisation. (Forwarding within your team is fine.)
  • Exceed reasonable usage — e.g. automated scraping of the dashboard, abuse of the API if and when one is offered.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with prior notice where possible.

§ VI   Intellectual property

The Brefi software, scoring engine, design and editorial content are owned by Haijahr Limited. Tender data displayed via Brefi remains the property of the publishing authority. You retain ownership of your filter configuration and account data.

§ VII   Limitation of liability

Brefi is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of Brefi is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of business, lost bids, or missed opportunities, even where notified of their possibility.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

§ VIII   Termination

You can terminate at any time by cancelling your subscription. We can terminate for serious breach of these terms or non-payment. On termination, your data is retained for 90 days then deleted (see Privacy policy § VI).

§ IX   Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes.
